For people who are aspiring to be IRSE assessors we can provide assessor training and assessment. Please go to our Assessor training page for more information.
Workplace assessors must have the Level 3 Award in Assessing Occupational Competence in the Work Environment (or previous equivalent e.g. A1 or D32/33) and have over 2 years experience in the area of work they are assessing. The workplace assessors are approved by each assessing agency.
Competence Assessors must also have a national assessor qualification and at least 5 years experience in the area of work they are assessing. They must be interviewed by the IRSE and are approved by the IRSE themselves.
We can provide a one day workshop for workplace assessors where we go through:
This in an interactive workshop and assessors are expected to take part in discussions about their experiences and comment on examples that are given to them.
The workshop is based upon the IRSE requirements for workplace assessors and the Assessor national standard for assessors.
It is a one day workshop and can be delivered in your company’s workplace if there is a minimum of 6 people. For individual assessors you can join in with open training days as they are planned.
