We are Paul and Pam Martin and we set up PM Training and Assessing in 2005 to provide assessor training to those in railway signalling.
We have expanded and we now provide all the Trainer, Assessor and IQA (TAQA) qualifications, as well as Professional Development Courses.
In 2009 we set up our IRSE Assessing Agency. We have completed over 2,000 IRSE assessments and have over 100 assessors across the UK.
In 2018, following the collapse of Carillion, Paul joined the business full time and we are now expanding into Signalling Training and Apprenticeships.
We pride ourselves on our quality of service and personal touch, so please do get in contact with us for more information about our services and courses and we will be happy to help.
To help create a safe railway, by giving people who work on it the skills, abilities and attitudes to maintain high standards in whatever role they have.
We believe that everyone should be able to reach their full potential.
We aim to do this by working alongside others, to inspire, develop and to create an atmosphere of growth that will allow progression and innovation in the work that we do, with honesty and integrity being the foundation of our work and delivery.
We won! We are really pleased to be winners of the National Rural Business Awards in the Innovation category.
We want to thank Arup Signal Design team who have been invaluable to this project. Also thanks to all our railway colleagues and friends, who helped make our dream a reality. These past few years have been a rollercoaster and it is great to be recognised for our perseverance.

We are proud that as a micro business we were awarded ‘Highly Commended’ at the Rail Business Awards. We were up against international corporations, so this shows how well we have done.
We were pleased that our neighbours @Motion Rail won with their VR Education programme for keeping school children safe on the railway. We have tried this out ourselves and they are well deserved winners.
