Course Information

This course combines the G110 Tester/Lead Tester and G110 Author/Checker/Authoriser courses together into one complete course, granting delegates the opportunity to obtain both competencies.

The course is designed for signal engineers who are already competent as SMTH testers, including those with SFI Level 1, or have equivalent experience in Signal Works Testing or Works delivery. The course will prepare them to take on the role of G110 Tester or Lead Tester AND G110 Test Schedule Author or Checker as defined by Network Rail standards.

Prerequisites

Delegates must already hold a valid full SMTH competency.

Course Outcomes

The course will provide the underpinning knowledge and practical experience in Functionally equivalent and Emergency Works Testing (G110 Testing), as well as provide delegates with the skills and proficiency required to undertake their duties in line with the associated capabilities.

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed by completing a written theory test and a practical test observed by their assessor. Upon successfully completing the course, delegates will have their SMTH competency card updated to include G110 Tester/Lead Tester AND G110 Author/Checker competencies.
