Course Information

This course is designed for signal engineers who are currently Works Verification Testers and wish to progress to the role of Functional Tester for location circuitry.

The course has been designed to provide the underpinning knowledge matched to the IRSE Functional Tester Licence (1.3.170). Please note that this course does not award the licence; delegates will need to complete licensable work after completion of the course and speak to our IRSE team to learn how to acquire their licence.

Pre-requisites

Delegates should already hold a valid Mod 3C competency prior to coming on this course.

Course Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

• Undertake check Marking of diagrams
• Undertake Integration testing
• Undertake Location functional testing
• Describe the principles of verification Testing
• Identify suitable methods for testing different circuitry
• Make Alterations and associated testing
• Record and Document test activities

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed by completing a written theory test, and a practical exam observed by their assessor. If delegates are successful, they will be issued a certificate that demonstrates their competence.
