Course Information

This course is designed for signal engineers who are currently Works Verification Testers and wish to progress to the role of Functional Tester for location circuitry.

The course has been designed to provide the underpinning knowledge matched to the IRSE Functional Tester Licence (1.3.170). Please note that this course does not award the licence; delegates will need to complete licensable work after completion of the course and speak to our IRSE team to learn how to acquire their licence.

Prerequisites

Delegates should already hold a valid Mod 3C competency prior to coming on this course.

Course Outcomes

On this course delegates will learn about:

• Power Supplies
• Check Marking
• Circuit Function and strap and function Testing
• Changeover Testing
• Through Testing

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed by completing a written theory test, and a practical exam observed by their assessor. If delegates are successful, they will be issued a certificate that demonstrates their competence.
