days
Course Information
This course is designed for personnel who need a thorough understanding of electrical risks, hazards, and safety measures. Participants will learn how to perform safe electrical isolations for equipment, whether their work involves electrical maintenance or dealing with ancillary equipment powered by a supply source or cabinet. This course is required for new staff in these roles.

Course Outcomes
At the end of this course the delegates will understand:
- Procedures for working on or testing electrical equipment
- Electrical isolation procedures for equipment with a working voltage in excess of 175 volts or whose current is not limited to 25 amps or less.
- Retrieval of information from the relevant Departmental Instructions.
- Roles and responsibilities of those involved in electrical work.
Assessment
