Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment - This is a knowledge-only unit about how to carry out assessments.
Unit 2: Assessing Occupational Competence in the Work Environment - This is for those who assess in a work environment and use the following types of assessment methods: observation, examining work products, oral questioning and discussion, witnesses, learner statements and prior achievement.
Unit 3: Assessing Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding - This is for those who assess in vocationally-related situations e.g. classrooms or workshops and who use the following types of assessment methods simulations, skills tests, questions, assignments, projects, case studies and prior achievement.
