Our team had the chance to discuss the importance of training within the rail infrastructure sector and to explain how PM Training & Assessing can help in this regard by providing various
signal engineering technical training courses, CPD training, IRSE Assessments, plus much more.
Additionally, Assessors, Trainers, Mentors & the IRSE are all key to the on-going training and assessment process. We were also asked what we thought the future looked like for training
and assessment to which our answer was “technology has moved on a such a pace that we now have more options than ever to be creative in the way that we train and assess learners. Some of the
ways in which we currently use technology to our advantage at PMTandA is online electronic portfolios, online learning, video calls for assessment, recording of observations and questioning,
online tests that mark themselves and Virtual Reality. Moving forward we can look towards how we can make our training & assessment better with the use of tools such as Augmented Reality
& Artificial Intelligence.”
